YOUR RECORDING
How much storage do you need?
Continuous recording, using the average bitrate you choose.
The initial values are an example for continuous recording 24 hours a day. Enter your installation's actual average bitrate.
For an analogue camera, use the bitrate set on the DVR/XVR for each channel.
What does Mbps mean, and where do I find it?
Mbps is the video's data rate, not its resolution in megapixels. Find it in the camera or recorder's recording settings. It changes with compression, frame rate and movement in the scene. Event-only recording requires a different amount of storage.
