Personal data information

Protecting your personal data is a primary concern. We understand the importance of information about you and your preferences and apply appropriate management practices.

When you create an account on our website, the details you provide are recorded in our database: first name, surname, email, location and contact information, and other fields concerning your preferences. Sensitive credit or debit card details are not stored in our database. You enter them in the payment provider's banking environment, where they are used for the transaction. You may be asked to enter payment details again for a future order. Your personal data is stored securely on the server hosting our website. Only people authorised by us have access for processing transactions and necessary interaction with our online system. To operate the store and fulfil orders, necessary data is processed by Shopify, payment providers and our courier partner ACS. Google Analytics use is described below. We do not sell your personal data.

For the proper operation of our store and suitable personalisation of services, we also temporarily record electronic information such as IP address, hostname, activity on the website and possible purchase history. You may receive temporary identifier files (cookies) for personalisation and reliable statistical information. Alongside our internal statistics, Google's Analytics application contributes statistical data.

Registered members may receive electronic communications from our staff. These may concern commercial matters, such as clarification or updates about an order, and targeted advertising or promotion of services and products. You can unsubscribe at any time through the unsubscribe link included in the relevant communication.

If you choose to purchase without registering, the above data is recorded solely to process that transaction. We will not contact you in the future for an unrelated reason unless you have chosen otherwise, for example by subscribing to updates or newsletters without creating an account.

You may exercise your right to erasure at any time. For requests to access, correct, erase or transfer personal data, contact info@bfocus.gr. Requests are assessed taking into account obligations to retain tax records and information necessary for pending transactions. Keeping your password secure is also your responsibility; please take care to prevent unauthorised access by third parties.

Before ordering a product, we clearly inform you of the exact transaction cost and its components. On completion and processing of the order, our accounts department issues the appropriate receipt or invoice. This is an official document involving the public interest, so a request to cancel or change its details must be sufficiently justified by an objective reason. You also undertake to use our store in good faith. We reserve the right to take appropriate steps to prevent or stop malicious activity relating to the website or transactions. Protection of personal data must comply with national law and public-interest requirements. For further details about the store's legal operation, see the Terms of Service.

We take steps to prevent theft or loss of personal data. We maintain appropriate security specifications and carry out preventive technical checks, interventions and updates where needed. In the exceptional event of a future issue concerning your personal data, our data controller will notify you promptly so that you can take appropriate action to protect it and avoid adverse consequences.

This information about processing personal data may be updated and expanded periodically. Please check this section regularly if it is of interest to you.
